Today I had 103,5/118m early turn attempt. Just to give a picture of my possibilities here. There is no oxygen issues for 120m+ dives and that's speaking conservatively. I'm even surprising myself how well prepared I am in term of apnea capacity. Today was my 5th day in a row of diving with 4 of them being dives 105m+ and I'm not tired?!
My chest flexibility is great and it seems my only limiting factor is equalisation.
Since today it was a really bad, cold day (which You can say by deep divers results) I didn't really believie my equalisation will work. I entered water at 5,5min to OT and when Stephen said -3min I was already cold and thought "I'm fucked". I gave it a go anyway, at 15m I start getting swim cap squeeze cause I forgot to raise it (in order to keep my ears away from cold until OT) and had to do it while descending... When I've heard alarm at 40m - depth where I'm used to refill my mouthfill - all I could do was continue to freefall. Wihile being cold muscles in chest are tensed thus flexibility is not like in a normal day (also cold=shivering=O2 used to heat up). Thus my mouthfill run out ~100m and after hearing alarm at 95 I knew plate is too far away. So I didn't even think about pushing my ears, just turned early and saved my strength for another day.
So in my next attempts I will keep going for 118m, be praying for sun and some luck with equalisation There is no magic, I need sunny day and perfect execution of mouthfill, which won't be easy, but good news is I know how to train this part back home in Cracow and next year I should be even more ready
I'm already happy from what I've achieved here and knowing inside "I'm capable of doing IT" is rewarding enough to me. If You watched a movie (
